Oops I missed a post yestetday. I had a lot of pain and had to work late last night so I forgot.  So yesterday I had my phone pre-op with swedish and went over a few things with them to clear me. Interesting thing I found out. Well apparently "donating my own blood" and "getting 2 vials of blood drawn" are 2 different things! I asked them a few weeks ago if I needed to donate my own blood (3 times) and they said no, they don't store it there and they hardly every need to use it. So when they told me yestetday to stop by and get my bloods drawn and get a nose swab done, I was confused and asked them if the "H&P" tests my primary did on tuesday were enough. She said yes but they want to keep 2 vials of my blood in case I need it. When I told her about when I called asking if I need to give my blood she said no we dont take donated blood. I told her, im not donating it, its for me! Apparently you ned to say the right stuff lol so in the conversation, I asked her why we were doing a phone preop when I had one scheduled next week? She told me I didn't have one scheduled next week. I thought hmmm all this time I thought I dId? So it turns out my preop is with dr Downer! Good thing I asked! Shesh, talk about a newbie in all this...any way so I see Dr Downer next week, then I stop by swedish to "get some blood drawn" and a nasal swab to test for MRSA. And my hip is hurting me so bad I can't stand it! Its really giving me the last few bits of pain it can I guess. :)
