2 months away :/

Alright so I haven't posted anything for a bit but it doesn't mean much.

I have now lost a total of exactly 30 lbs!!! Which is amazing and I am so proud of myself. It now becomes a test of how well I can maintain the loss and keep losing. I hope I can lose AT LEAST 20 more before my surgery but without being able to workout consistently, that may or may not happen. It is becoming a bit ridiculous how none of my clothes fit. They are all too big. :) I am happy yes, but I am sad because I don't have any skinnier clothes to wear so all my clothes are falling off me and look sooo baggy. And I am not buying any clothes brand new since I will keep losing anyway...It seems to be bitter sweet at the moment. I can also tell SO much how and where the weight is coming off. Mainly my face and neck but everywhere else too. It is so crazy. I've had this corset for about 3 years and when I bought it, it barely fit me and has been too small for me to wear. It actually hurt to wear it and took forever to get on...Now, it goes on SO EASY and fits perfect, in fact I can use the smaller hooks on it now too. YAY :)

Other news: Daily pain continues. No exercise and limited movement. It is even getting so bad I am groaning in pain almost every time I drive home. I am just trying to make it to my surgery. Which BTW is coming SO DARN FAST. 59 DAYS!!! I am getting really anxious and nervous now that it is very near. I am getting really scared. I am happy yes, and excited to see what life can be like without the hurting and setbacks. But at the same time I cannot help but think about everything that could go wrong. It's terrifying! We have been stocking up on things I will need for the time alone.
We got a tall bedside table to hold a new lamp and it also has a space on the back which will be perfect for pill bottles and medicine to keep handy.
We also got a new dresser for the wall opposite the foot of the bed.
We also bought a new flat screen T.V. and got a cable box w/ remote for the room so I can watch TV.
We moved the bed over to accommodate the table which will also be room for me and my walker.
We will be moving the XBOX 360 into the room so I can play.
Some things we still need:
Foam wedge for back support/sitting up in bed
    MORE PILLOWS
    "Grabber" tool
Puzzles, puzzle books, and pens, maybe some art supplies, books.
Toilet seat extender. I have a commode but while I am at home alone, it would be nice to actually use
the toilet and not the bucket without having to squat so low.
A travel cup/mug. Maybe a bottle thats easy to refill and easy to open/close that way I don't spill it
    everywhere!!
Someone suggested a  (cant remember that name) but it hooks onto walker/crutches to carry stuff.

We also need to shop, wrap and prepare for holiday season before it gets here because my surgery is December 20th and will be home most likely 24th or 25th which is 4-5 days post op and also happens to be Christmas eve and day. Will be interesting to find out how THAT goes.

Well I'll post more when I have it!!

77 days...

Today, I have 77 days until my RPAO. AGH! lol. I am making really good progress with my weight loss, and it is showing about 1 lb a day. Today I have passed the lowest weight I have been in 6 years which was 239. Today I am 238.8 :D :D :D Whoohoo! Dr. Downer said to try to lose as close to 75 lbs as I can. At first it was daunting, like how can I do that??? But I saw who I needed to, and learned things, and followed through and it is working. So I have to give myself a HUGE HIGH-FIVE!! (I even tried lol) So, From the day I saw him, Aug. 26th, I have lost 25 lbs. I had 4 months to do it and I am down 1/3. I am truly proud.

So other than losing weight, A few weeks ago I was on a 12 day no-pain streak. I had not used any pain medicine, and oddly enough felt no pain. i even went back to the gym doing some cycling. But it was short-lived. I can't remember the last time I went even a day without some kind of pain associated with my hip. And then the temp changed here and I don't know if its the moisture, coldness, or whatever but it affected my hip and back to achy. The surgery is almost there :D I just hope that that is not a sign of arthritis because PAO will not get rid of that, only prolong the onset of arthritis. And also the labral tear acted up again so I may have over done it somehow.

Here is my schedule of whats to come sent by my surgeon's office:

December 6~appointment with my primary to go over my packet from the surgeon and to get any tests done before the surgery to give me the all clear. 2 weeks before surgery.

December 13~ One week before surgery, Do not take any aspirin, Excedrin, etc from today on.

December 14~ Less than one week away, Pre-op appointment at Swedish hospital to go over what will happen on D-day

December 17~No anti-inflammatory, ibuprofen, garlic, etc. I have a list of anti-inflammatory things to not have from here until after surgery and directed by surgeon.

December 20~ No medications today. SURGERY today :D

December 24-25~ Probably come home for Christmas :) I guess the best Christmas gift I could have, pain-free hip :D

January 4~ Post op appointment, 2 weeks after surgery.

And also somewhere in there I need to get blood drawn as well, I may need to find that out lol.
